Today the place was teaming. Having said that apparently it was quiet as we snared the last table as soon as we got there. There is more often than not a wait. We were seated in a friendly manner inside in comfortable armchairs with straight backs so that you didnt feel like you were sinking back and unable to eat.
Sayers isnt table service but our table was directly next to the counter so while this would normally annoy me marginally this did not.
I loved the interior of SS. It was homely, modern, organic and arty all in one. I was very impressed. I even spotted some of Stormy Mills work high up on the wall (or a very good impersonator).
We started off with the usual coffee and fresh juice. I had water melon and strawberry and my usual coffee. All very nice. Hard to go wrong.
The salmon was absolutely delicious. A wonderful red colour - as one would imagine if beetroot is involved and a generous portion. The eggs (which I ate about three forkfuls off) where great. Really well made and a great accompaniment. As I stipulated before I do wish I liked egg because if I did I would have loved these. The mushrooms were amazing. They had the tart sweetness of balsamic and then the richness of the pesto. A really great taste combo.
See it for yourself - unless I was the last person in Perth to do so.
